Diesel Injector Pumps deliver excess fuel. This excess fuel normally goes back into the fuel tank via the return line. Typically, the pump delivers 10 times the amount of fuel that the engine burns. Especially when a heat exchanger is fitted, the return fuel is hot and it is a shame to lose this heat to the tank. The components in this kit allow you to short circuit this return fuel back into the main fuel line before the heat exchanger. Thus fuel heats up much faster and reaches a higher overall temperature. A further benefit is that there is less fuel flow from the tank, which means that the injector pump is under less strain. Whenever we fit heat exchangers we fit the recirculation loop as standard. A provision is made to bleed air back to the tank, when the fuel filter has been changed and air has been introduced to the system.
