Our ceramic products are glazed on the inside. If used on a regular basis only for water, they will only need to be rinsed through. If you haven’t used them for a while or you wish to clean them use warm soapy water or dilute vinegar and rinse thoroughly afterwards.
You can also clean the tap of the Water Egg by unscrewing the lid of the tap (to which the black handle is attached). You should not need any tools for this. Once you have remove the tap lid, including handle and seal, you can clean the inside body of the tap. Sometimes a little bit of dirt or scale can accumulate here, which can also cause the tap to drip.
We also supply replacement taps in the unlikely case that this should be required. Tap replacement requires a special spanner tool, which we can lend to customers.
